Future Talent Welcomes Four New Trustees to Strengthen Its Mission

Future Talent is excited to announce the appointment of four new Trustees to its board, furthering our mission to support young musicians from disadvantaged backgrounds. These new Trustees bring a wealth of experience from the worlds of business, music, education, and social impact, all united by a shared commitment to empowering young people through music.

Meet the New Trustees

Anne-Liese van der Linden
Anne-Liese van der Linden, a skilled Trainer and Facilitator, has worked with a variety of organisations such as Talent Foundry, Everfi, and Capgemini ASE. With a background in theatre education both in the Netherlands and the UK, Anne-Liese brings a unique perspective on creative learning. She lives in Hastings with her husband, a jazz musician, and will be taking on the important role of overseeing Future Talent’s safeguarding procedures, ensuring the highest standards of care for all our young musicians.

Chloe Ortiz
Chloe Ortiz, currently Global Director at DSM-Firmenich, joins us with over a decade of leadership experience. A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Chloe has led DSM-Firmenich UK’s D&I initiatives. Raised playing piano and violin, Chloe understands the transformative power of music and is dedicated to creating opportunities for young people to reach their full potential. Her corporate expertise and personal passion will be vital as we continue to expand our impact.

Erin Townsend
Erin Townsend, at just 21, brings a fresh and powerful voice to Future Talent. A final-year music student at Somerville College, Oxford, Erin has achieved distinctions in violin and clarinet, alongside an impressive range of awards and leadership roles. At university, her interests lie in community music outreach and researching inequality, specifically around social class and classical music. Erin grew up in Brighton & Hove and understands first-hand the challenges young musicians from disadvantaged backgrounds face. Her role as a Trustee will provide valuable insight into how we can continue to support young people as they navigate the world of music education and beyond.

Nicolas Butty
Nicolas Butty is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience at MTV, where he led MTV Breaks—an initiative that provides creative opportunities to young talent through apprenticeships, workshops, and international events. Now the Founder & Creative Director of The Thing TV, Nico has long been an advocate for young creatives and will be instrumental in broadening Future Talent’s social impact and outreach programs.
